What was the highlight of Original Sokos Hotel Puijonsarvi
An enjoyable comfortable stay in an interesting town.
Pleasant comfortable room of a pleasing contemporary design although this was let down by details in its implementation, eg toilet roll holder cannot be reached even by a tall person sitting on the loo, the room door was painted a pale lavender which showed up the hand marks of successive occupants, the bathroom down lighters were positioned so that they left the face in the mirror in shadow, twenty (!) power points in bedroom and bathroom, the plumbing was surface mounted in the bathroom in impressive shiny chrome but the pipe supports were not cleaned and were obviously dirty. The hotel was well suited opposite the cathedral green and our room overlooked this. It was reasonably quiet on a Saturday night even though the city was very busy. Breakfast was excellent.
The hotel comprised two adjacent buildings connected by an underground corridor. This was confusing to a new guest arriving in the non-reception block from the car park as signage was not clear to someone unfamiliar with the hotel layout.

Wonderful
Room was great and breakfast exceeded expectations. The hotel is located rigt in the centre of town and you can borrow bicycles for free and go for a bike ride in the town, perhaps try around the lake
